Shin Hyun Bin loves Jang Winter.

Q: I heard that the team atmosphere of "Wise doctors life " is very good.
A: You heard the same thing yesterday.(Laughs) I heard that Mido filmed it yesterday.
Q :That's right. I'm playing hard.
A: We're meeting so many people.(laughs)

Q:  Hyun Bin's Instagram account doesn't have an Verifed mark. I've never seen an account with more than 100,000 followers without an "official" sign. *interview article from May 20,2020*

A: Maybe it's because I'm doing it for myself, but I didn't think about it.

Q: You suddenly have more followers, right? When the drama starts.

A: It improved a lot during the drama. before that, when the movie was released it improved a little

Note: She had 39k instagram followers at start of Hospital Playlist and at end of S1 she had 150k followers and its still growing

Q: I went around various Internet bulletin boards. A lot of people are talking about Gyeoul. Isn't the sudden stardom a little embarrassing?

A:  Actually, I'm not the type to search so hard. I'm thankful that a lot of people say it and think it's good. I feel like there are a lot of comments like that. I do listen to it because people around me say this and that.

Q: On Hyun Bin's Instagram, Kim Go-eun and Han Hyo-joo's comments are at the top.

I think the viewers like it when the actors are close. Maybe people who like Go-eun or Hyo-joo have similar tendencies. When I write comments on their Instagram, I get a lot of likes.

Q: How did this happen?

I got close to actress Kim Go-eun in the movie, "Byunsan." We've been close to each other for a long time, and Han Hyo-joo's friendship has continued. I found out about her in private. But we've been close for quite a while.

Q: Is there another crew you go with?

(laughs) There's no crew, and there are a lot of teams that work together and get along we99ll. Not too long ago, I watched it with Mi-do (playing Jeon Mi-do, Chae Song-hwa) and Eun-jin (playing Ahn Eun-jin and Choo Min-ha). I also watch the team members I met on Mistress before. Actor Han Ga-in, actor Koo Jae-yi, and actor Choi Hee-seo are all close. Other actors on the "Byunsan" team keep in touch. It was the same in "The Beast who want to grab the straw." I think it's possible to keep meeting good teams.

Q: Can I expect a romance with Ahn Jeongwon  (Yoo Yeon-seok) in terms of fun? There are so many comments saying, "I hope the winter garden goes well." It's becoming a hot topic.

I don't know. We were really curious. The person who gets the script first tells us quickly. We're curious to know and see, but I'm sure those who don't know how curious we are..

Q: I'm curious about the winter garden, but I'm more curious about Chae Song-hwa's past. Mido said he doesn't know either. I think the director knows the salty taste.

It's the same thing I don't know either. Ik-jun (Cho Jung-seok) and Song-hwa are wondering if they like each other. I thought their relationship was very realistic. If you've had clear and firm feelings for each other in the past, is it possible for you to be friends no matter how much time has passed? Real-life relationships are often ambiguous. Sometimes you wonder if you liked him or not. Sometimes you date someone, but later you realize that you didn't love him that much. Actually, you don't know how you feel. I felt that the subtle emotions in this drama were very realistic.

Q: I mean, even if you like someone in real life....

Isn't that not always a firm feeling?(laughs)

Q: Yes, I thought it was okay, but when I woke up, they were dating.

It could be that, and it turns out you're dating someone else. There are many moments of mixed emotions in my life, and I felt that it was realistic in that regard. That's why I'm even more excited. Not Ikjun or Songhwa, but Junwan (played by Jung Kyung-ho) and Iksun (played by Kwak Sun-young). You know, right before you started dating, everyone had a moment when they talked about their feelings, looked forward to them, and listened to the answer and liked them. In this drama, the love story is not a big deal, but I think the reason why viewers are interested in it is because of its reality.

Q: You know You're talking like I'm not in that drama, right? I could feel how much you like this drama.

I started to watch it from the perspective of viewers. Wasn't Mido in viewer mode yesterday? When we meet, we talk about new episodes that will be aired.

Q: Are you curious even though you know the story?

I'm curious even though I know. Even though I know the story, I watch the drama with curiosity. Anyway, I only read the part that wasn't my part, but I didn't see it. In my case, I was curious  what appeared. I'm curious about how it felt when the scene was completed. Especially, I wonder how my acting will change when it is directed and edited and put on music. Some things I didn't see during the shoot.

Q: I heard Hyun Bin's interview on the radio. In fact, Shin Hyun Bin's personality seemed to be different from Jang Gyeoul. Shin Hyunbin is surprisingly easy-going and cool.

There is definitely a similar side to Gyeoul personality. But most of all, I really liked this character. When I first saw her, she looked blunt, indifferent, and cold, but she turned out to be very blunt, sincere, and innocent. There might be some misunderstanding at first, but someone who looks really good over time. I thought she was a character that didn't exist a lot before.

Q: Isnt you winter personality a little cold?

I didn't think it was too cold. Rather, I thought about how to persuade and support the lack of characters. At first, the character Gyeou is a character who lacks a lot and is clumsy, and she is growing up, and I wanted to express those things well.

Q: You've never been in a relationship, have you? I think she said she's never kissed in the drama.

You could have dated without kissing, but it's almost like she didnt

Q: I've seen your previous work, "The beast that want to hold a straw." I really didn't know that the actors who played Miran and Jang Gyeoul would be the same person. Miran's a character who's been beaten and murdered. Wasn't acting hard?

I think I had a hard time preparing for it. But after I started filming, I felt less like that. I think I had a lot of fun filming it. We talked a lot about how to shoot violent scenes in advance. Actor Kim Joon-han (*He is chihong in Hospital Playlist)  has studied a lot about how to hit, although it's a bit embarrassing to say this. 'How can I hit you in a way that I haven't shown in other movies or dramas?' Of course, we talked a lot. You might think that the scene where actor Kim Jun-han comes home and hits Miran with his foot is a bit serious. But I took a full shot of the scene at once. We took it all at once and gave a high-five, saying, "Good job."

Q" I looked up what the first work was, and I found out that it was in 2010, "Banga? (He’s on Duty) " It's "Bang-bye!" You made our debut very early.

It's not too early. I was 25 years old. It's a little different now, but that was when everyone debuted at the age of 20. It's because the world has changed a lot. I did it when I was in high school and in my early 20s.

Q: It was cast for the first audition movie. Your major wasn't acting, and you didn't appear in any independent movies before then, did I?

There wasn't.

Q: Isn't that great then ? You won the Baeksang Arts Awards for thisrole as a Vietnamese bride.

Is that so? In fact, when I went into the movie, the movie size was small, so I just wanted it to be released. But when it was released, the movie went well. I think I started with the help of the director and other seniors.

Q: What was your play club in high school?

I did, but it's not a serious club, so....

Q: Sometimes I meet someone with compatible talents. Well, she is good at acting, but she's good at studying. she’s good at studying, but he's good at drawing. I think she is that kind of person.

I think I was just happy (to talk about art majors in college). I've been living for a long time since I was young, thinking that there are only paintings. But when I went to school, I realized that talent is a talent, but I'm not as interested in painting as my friends around me. It was very shocking and painful.

Q: At first glance, I saw an article saying that when you were attending the Korea National University of Arts, You are moved to  became an actor after seeing a piece.

I watched a movie because my teacher recommended it to me during my freshman class. It wasn't officially imported, but it was screened at the film festival. It was a fake documentary about people performing on the streets. It's about people who don't make money from street performances, don't care about being taken away, and bet everything on anything under any restrictions, and I thought, "What am I was doing here. Feels like I'm living without any passion? Even if it's not that bad, don't you think that people should do something passionately? I came to school, but it's not fun, and I don't want to do well. I was full of desire to fill it roughly. It was very strange, and the time was painful. I've thought about the job of an actor from afar. I thought it would be better if I tried it and regretted it. Such worries led to longer painful times than I thought. But it's so easy to get started....

Q: I was curious about Shin Hyunbin when he was doing art. You were a disciple of Ahn Kyu-chul, right?

To be exact, I was a theoretical major, so I wasn't under Mr. Ahn's direct control. I do like Ahn Kyu-chul a lot.

Q: There was an article on "Bazaar" that Hyun Bin interviewed Ahn. I just felt that it wasn't a question that a little art lover could ask.

Anyway, I'm a major, and I have a degree even though I'm an undergraduate. Aside from that, I'm a huge fan of Ahn Kyu Chul. I think it was possible. When I was asked to appear as an interviewer for "Bazaar," I thought as real fan said, "I don't know anything else, but I can confidently introduce mewherever I go." I thought, "I'm going to let you know how great my teacher is." It was really fun. Ahn's works and writings were usually closely followed.

( Note: Ahn Kyungchul is respected artist in South Korea. He graduated in SNU & tooo his postgraduate in germany, click: https://m.kukjegallery.com/artist/369)

Q: I think four to five years of undergraduate learning is a time for us to learn something to enjoy forever. I mean, it's not just about fulfilling the conditions for a undergraduate to join the company.

Right. I think there's something. A few years ago, I didn't think my major had much to do with what I'm doing now, but during an interview, I felt that I was influenced a lot by my major in art theory, and that I was using it while acting.

 Q: In what way?

For example, the art theory that I studied has a detailed major in art history, aesthetics, and exhibition planning. What all of these majors learn for the first time is actually image reading skills. Whether it's a painting or sculpture, it's based on looking at the plate a lot and describing it in text or not. They look at paintings and sculptures, read the times and the sachems, and create databases. If you think about it, you've been training, not training. On the other hand, I looked at the text, thought about what kind of work it was, and checked the image. If you think about it, it's similar to the process of imagining an image (actual execution) while looking at a text (Script)

Q: Don't you think your daily life is rich because you major in art? I think I have a different view of the world from ordinary people.

I don't know about that. I don't know how other people see it. But there are many interesting things to see especially when you travel. I always go to the art museum. I have a lot of things to talk to my friends.

Q: As I looked for other interviews, I often introduced the fact that I was from an art school as an image of "Um Chin-ah." On the other hand, he didn't seem very happy about what he looked like that.

If I was good at art, I would still be doing it. It's not easy to give up. In my case, talent is a talent, but I was shocked that I didn't have that much desire to do art. If I work hard, I could definitely catch up with them in some ways, but I was shocked that I didn't have the desire to do so. I thought about becoming a researcher, but seeing the professors, I didn't know if I could enjoy studying that much.

Q: You must have thought a lot about it and ended up becoming such a great actor.

(laughs) Thank you. Anyways, I would have done that if I had studied well and painted well. No?

Q: Do you have another favorite writer besides Ahn Kyu-chul? At least an overseas writer.

In my early 20s, I loved Mark Roscoe very much. Since I've seen so many works in school, I think I had stronger tastes and more prejudices. When I saw other people's works and writers, I thought, "I don't think it's that good." At the time, I thought it was a taste, but it's also a prejudice. After I quit art, I became a lover or a spectator, so I think I could enjoy it more. After graduating from college, I started working and traveled, and I apologized to many writers in my heart. "Oh, he was like this, but I didn't know him."(laughs)

Q: If you had enough money to buy a piece of art, who would you buy?

This is a difficult question. It can't happen, but when I get this question, I worry a lot. If you can buy everything, shouldn't you buy something expensive?

             Guernica by  Pablo Picasso

I should be able to hang it in my house. You can't buy a big piece like "Guernica."

(laughs) Well, you need that kind of wall at home if you want to hang up Guernica. So... Cy tombly? Realistically speaking, I would choose between a small print or drawing, and I would choose twombly or Rotkho regardless of the price.

A gallery worker walks past Seagram murals by Russian-born American painter Mark Rothko.

Q: I'd be so envious to have someone hanging Rotkho at home.

But it can be bad for your mental health.

Q: I heard people cry like that.

That's possible.

Note : Mark Rotkho took his own life. "The people who weep before my pictures are having the same religious experience I had when I painted them. And if you, as you say, are moved only by 8 color relationships, then you miss the point."

Q:But when I heard it on the radio, I was good at performing. I think I can appear with a feeling of walking once.

The situation is a little different on the radio because I went out to promote the movie.

Q: However, if you consume it as entertainment, the actor's image sometimes becomes fixed to the comedy, so I think that the agency will have a lot of trouble.

Even if you are not performing arts, if you use too many similar characters, the image may harden

Q: this is a question I couldn't try before, but if you have time and money, what do you want to do?

Travel. It's impossible now, but I like all of these things that I see, hear, eat and feel. When I go on a trip, I feel like my curiosity about something new is met at once.

Q: I can't go on a trip right now, but if I can go, do you think I would go to the first place I went to, or do I think I would go to the first place I went?

I think I'll go where I went ... .

Q: It is similar to stock investment. It's a similar question whether you're going to go high risk high return or low risk low return.

I'm going where I went safely.

Q: No matter where it is, you can buy a picture I just said while I was there. By the way, I wanted to see a new type of actor in Korea at last if the Wise Doctor Life> went well and continued until the 10th season. Overseas, there are people who live 10 years as a persona, like Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory. Hyunbin, do you want to live in as Jang Gyeoul?

I have a heart. I love the character Jang Gyeoul. Playing a role in a work is the process of meeting another person and becoming one with that person. There is affection that arises there.

Q: I want to see the Gyeoul even longer.

Me too.
